Installation Guide
Browserflare is available for Windows and macOS. Follow the instructions for your platform below.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”System Requirements
Section titled “System Requirements”- Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
Download and Install
Section titled “Download and Install”- Download the installer: Browserflare_0.6.0_x64_en-US.msi
- Run the
.msifile and follow the setup wizard - Once installed, launch Browserflare from the Start menu
Windows SmartScreen
Section titled “Windows SmartScreen”If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info and then Run anyway. This appears because the app is not yet code-signed with an EV certificate.
System Requirements
Section titled “System Requirements”- macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
- Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4)
Download and Install
Section titled “Download and Install”- Download the installer: Browserflare_0.6.0_aarch64.dmg
- Open the
.dmgfile - Drag Browserflare into your Applications folder
- Launch Browserflare from Applications or Spotlight
Gatekeeper Warning
Section titled “Gatekeeper Warning”On first launch, macOS will block the app because it is not notarized. To fix this, open Terminal and run:
xattr -cr /Applications/Browserflare.appThis removes the quarantine attribute that macOS applies to downloaded apps. After running the command, you can launch Browserflare normally.
First Launch
Section titled “First Launch”After installing on either platform:
- Launch Browserflare
- Go to Settings
- Enter your Cloudflare Account ID and API Token (see the Cloudflare Credentials guide)
- You’re ready to start crawling, capturing screenshots, and generating PDFs
