Installation Guide

Browserflare is available for Windows and macOS. Follow the instructions for your platform below.

  • Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  1. Download the installer: Browserflare_0.6.0_x64_en-US.msi
  2. Run the .msi file and follow the setup wizard
  3. Once installed, launch Browserflare from the Start menu

If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click More info and then Run anyway. This appears because the app is not yet code-signed with an EV certificate.

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4)
  1. Download the installer: Browserflare_0.6.0_aarch64.dmg
  2. Open the .dmg file
  3. Drag Browserflare into your Applications folder
  4. Launch Browserflare from Applications or Spotlight

On first launch, macOS will block the app because it is not notarized. To fix this, open Terminal and run:

Terminal window
xattr -cr /Applications/Browserflare.app

This removes the quarantine attribute that macOS applies to downloaded apps. After running the command, you can launch Browserflare normally.

After installing on either platform:

  1. Launch Browserflare
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Enter your Cloudflare Account ID and API Token (see the Cloudflare Credentials guide)
  4. You’re ready to start crawling, capturing screenshots, and generating PDFs
